Good Week - Bad Week

I had my job interview at daughter's high school yesterday for the ISS/Detention room monitor and am supposed to hear back (either way) by end of the week if I am chosen for this position!  I sure hope I get this! Perfect hours! 10 am - 5 pm!!!

My dad hasn't been in the greatest of health for about the past year and to make the long story short, it's possible he has or is in the beginning stages of pancreatic cancer.  He goes in for a major surgery on the 28th of this month to have either part or whole pancreas removed, gall bladder, small section of stomach, dudenom and that removed.  He turns 67 on the 22nd.  My daughter Jordyn turns 16 on the 21st. 

Hoping he can make it through this surgery and have some more time added on to his life expectancy!

Hump Day!

Well it's Wednesday and the kids have had 2 full days of school and I sure am enjoying the peace and quiet here at home!  I have been looking for a job and am hoping to get in where my kids go to school!  I took an OPAC test and was told I did very well but was given the opportunity to retake 2 of them which I am confident will go much better this time around! 

The weather has been creating some serious havoc on my sinuses! UGH!

On a side note, I am still selling items from my Etsy shop!  I managed to whip up a few sets called Sailors On-the-Go Sets.  These are a coffee cozy and matching keychain wristlet set and the fabric coincides with the kids school theme/mascot! Awesome! I hope I get some orders!!!

I have a few other ideas I'd like to get going with and put up in my shop very soon! I will be sure to post here what those items will be as well as pics!

Also, I am looking for help with creating my own avatar button/badge thingie to share with other fellow bloggers!  I am more than happy to swap these and put them in my blog!

Good Morning!

I am very excited! I sold 3, yes THREE Coffee Cozies yesterday! I am hoping to get some new ones posted in my shop and since the weather is looking good outside, I will be able to take some great pics!

Also, if anyone has a blog here and a small avatar, they would like for me to post on my blog and vice-versa - free of course! (One hand washes the other, like grannie would say!) Please feel free to drop me a note here!

Labor Day Weekend

As usual prolly not much going on around here.... am hoping to hit the Farmer's Market later on today to get us some yummy apples for a pie! We also have Shoreline Spectacular going on and would like to hit up the Art Fair, but only if I don't get blown away! We've had some crazy weather since yesterday which had forced The Badger (Ludington) to shut down for the day, but not sure if the Lake Express is running still or not. We've had some very high-winds and very wavy waters on Lake Michigan!

My next duty of the day it to go to Joann Fabrics and get me a real grommet maker so I can complete a pirate costume I started for myself about a year ago!  This was a project I decided to tackle before i had undergone my gastric bypass surgery.  I am excited and proud to say that it was a very successful surgery and have lost 160 pounds total and have 40 to go!  I will be sure to take pics soon of the costume!

I did manage to add a few more items to my Etsy shop - 2 quilts and 3 more sock monkeys!

That is about all for now, I need to get my WoW fix for awhile today! LOL

September Already?!?

WOW! Where has the time gone? School is starting just around the corner too!
I am still new to this Blog thing so please bear with me! =]

I have been undecisive lately as to decide if I want to keep my Etsy Shop going or not and to get rid of alot of craft supplies.... I decided to keep things open and running but I will only be putting things in the shop once in awhile - that's if I have the extra $$$ to make new items or if I receive any special requests/custom orders.  I do have a few things that should be going up very soon and will share a sneak peek here!

Time to make more "Coffee Cozies" and who knows what else! Have a great day all!
